11-NIGHT ARABIA & DUBAI VOYAGE

11-NIGHT ARABIA & DUBAI VOYAGE

-

Your Itinerary
Day 1: Dubai Dubai (United Arab Emirates)(Dubai)

Set against the backdrop of the Arabian Desert, Dubai has grown rapidly into a futuristic landscape of skyscrapers, man-made islands, shopping malls and beach resorts. There is a sense of outlandish possibility about this modern and progressive city.

Dubai has become a truly global city and influential business hub, growing particularly fast in areas such as aviation, tourism and real estate. Standing as testament to its success are architectural marvels such as the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, the Burj Al Arab, widely billed as the world's only seven star hotel, and the iconic Palm Jumeirah island, to name just a few.

Dubai is a city of superlatives, home to the highest skyscrapers, the fastest cars, the most luxurious hotels and the biggest shopping malls. The enormous expatriate population, as well as millions of tourists each year, can enjoy shopping, partying, sunbathing and fine dining. From within these high standards of luxury, visitors can also experience exotic Arabia in the bustling souks of the Deira district, or a night in a Bedouin tent with belly dancing under the starlit desert skies.

Dubai's attraction lies in the contrast between the ultra modern and the enchantingly traditional, which gives the city a personality like no other. From desert oases and unspoiled beaches, camel races and old wind towers, to top-class shopping opportunities and the finest international cuisine, Dubai has more than enough depth to satisfy even the most seasoned of explorers.

Day 4: Muscat Muscat (Oman)(Muscat)

Muscat is the capital and largest city in Oman, but tourists will find that the mundane activity of the busy modern capital is easily forgotten among the exotic delights of bustling markets, cannon-guarded forts, ornate palaces and historic city harbour. The once important maritime city underwent a resurgence in the 1970s, when the Sultan Qaboos bin Said began to develop museums, mosques and palaces, and worked to restore relics of Muscat's history.

Muscat is made up of three cities grown together: the original walled city of Muscat (home to the royal palaces); the former fishing village of Matrah with its maze-like souq; and the commercial and diplomatic area of Ruwi. These areas, along with other districts further from the city centre, each have their own distinct personalities and attractions.

Although Muscat is a popular destination for sightseeing tours, many of the attractions are primarily regular fixtures of Omani life. The mosques are important religious sites, the ancient forts are still operated by the military and the sultan's palace is the seat of Oman's government.

The beauty of the city is what makes Muscat so alluring, especially near the harbour. The smooth, curved stone architecture is a transition from the rocky landscape to the inviting water of the harbour. Many new buildings have continued with classic Arabic architecture, further protecting the city's legacy from the ravages of the modern world. Muscat is one of the safest, most cosmopolitan and most open-minded cities in the entire Gulf Region and fast becoming a Middle East tourism hotspot.

Day 6: Ras Al Khaimah Ras al Khaimah (United Arab Emirates)(Ras Al Khaimah)

Ras Al Khaimah is the largest city and capital of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. It is the sixth-largest city in UAE after Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain and Ajman. The city is divided by a creek into two parts: old town in the west and Al Nakheel in the east.

Ras Al Khaimah is renowned for its outstanding nature, leisure, adventure and authentic offerings. With an extraordinary history dating back over seven millennia, the northernmost Emirate in the UAE has become one of the most sought after destinations in the Middle East.

Day 7: Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates)(Abu Dhabi)

The brash, bold city of Abu Dhabi is a modern marvel, capital of the wealthy United Arab Emirates and headquarters of the world's richest oil operating companies. The pulsating city, with futuristic skyscrapers and wide tree-lined boulevards, is capitalising on its sophistication, amazing duty-free shopping zone, luxury hotels and top-class transport and communication infrastructure to attract tourists. They come not only for the 'retail therapy' and glitz, but also to explore the fascinating culture of the vast Abu Dhabi Emirate itself (it is the largest of the seven Emirates), with its miles of desert and interesting oases.

The city juts out into the Persian Gulf, with land having been reclaimed from the sea to make way for a long seafront Corniche lined with lush gardens and gushing fountains. It is a relatively young city, the area having been first settled by nomadic tribesmen in the mid-18th century. It remained little more than a fishing village until oil was discovered in the 1950s and the financial and trading boom began.

Today the international airport and deep water port bring in visitors from around the world, most clutching credit cards and cash, set on spending as much as possible in the enticing shopping malls and buzzing souk (market). Limousines are a common sight in the congested streets, and restaurants that offer the cuisine of many nations do a roaring trade, especially along the waterfront. Shopping fever is at its height during the annual Shopping Festival. Those taking a break from modern luxury can escape to the desert for a Bedouin feast under the stars, or a camel ride through the dunes.

Day 10: Sir Bani Yas Island Sir Bani Yas Island (United Arab Emirates)(Sir Bani Yas Island)

Aqualina

At Aqualina, you’ll find some of Italy’s most authentic dishes. Pastas made from scratch, traditional and authentic recipes, and scrumptious vegetarian dishes that make sure there’s something for everyone. Savor a traditional Spaghetti Bolognese, enjoy a classic Antipasti or a hearty Fisherman’s Soup or an Eggplant Parmesan to a Rigatoni Pomodoro with fresh veggies. You won’t be able to say no to our famous desserts: Sorrento lemon liqueur mousse, hazelnut chocolate soufflé and more. Our chefs love to be inspired, so after an on-shore visit to a local market, you can also expect a delectable dish so local, you’ll feel like you’re not onboard anymore.

Specialty dining is complimentary for suite guests. For others, there is a $30 per-person cover. Reservations are highly recommended.

Prime C

Steaks cooked to perfection. Crab cakes with remoulade. Lobster bisque. Lamb, game hens and seafood. And last but certainly not least, our famous mini cinnamon-sugar donuts with dipping sauces for dessert. (Yes, they are as good as they sound.) But at Prime C, you’re in for more than an array of delectable dining. Expect a marvelous evening in a warm wood-paneled ambiance with stunning views and lush décor. And, if our chef has made a visit to a local market while we’re in port, you’ll also have an authentic local dish to look forward to, made just for you.

Specialty dining is complimentary for suite guests. For others, there is a $30 per-person cover. Reservations are highly recommended.

The Wine Cellar

You’ll be hard-pressed to find such a collection of limited production, small label and rare vintage wines anywhere on the high seas! And with vintages from France to California, and Argentina to South Africa, you’re sure to find a wine to suit your palate. And your journey. Our knowledgeable sommeliers can help you pick the perfect wines for your evening meal—and your voyage!—and be sure to join our Wine Corner gatherings in the Mosaic Café, perfect for discovering and enjoying new wines and benefiting from the thoughtful guidance of our sommelier.

Discoveries Restaurant

Discover the world through dishes and flavors from the places we visit. Whether it’s our Destination Immersion dinner buffet or the Destination Immersion cuisine on our dinner menu, give your dining a little local flavor and enjoy on shore tastes onboard! Of course, you will also enjoy a wide variety of nightly selections such as filet mignon with black truffle sauce. With its elegant yet lively dining and renewed décor, it’s easy to see why this restaurant is a hands-down favorite, the culinary heart of our ships. Gather at Discoveries Bar for drinks before or after dinner.

Reservations are not accepted. Choose being seated at a table for two or as part of a larger group of fellow guests (which we highly recommend! It’s a great way to meet new people).

The Patio and Swirl & Top

Casual “pool grill” by day. Then, fine tablecloths and flickering candles will set the mood for a sit-down al fresco dining experience by night. Taste your way around the world with exclusive personalized dishes using local flavors of the places we visit on our Destination Immersion® cuisine dinner menu served by our professional wait staff. And for a little touch of whimsy, a self-serve frozen yogurt station—Swirl & Top. With a variety of flavors and your choice of toppings, it’s the perfect way to cool off during the day or end your evening meal.

Mosaic Cafe

Comfortable and stylish, Mosaic is the place where you’ll find your favorite coffee drinks, just the way you like. Try our Nespresso specialty coffee (for a fee). Slip into a comfortable seat and sip for a while. The perfect place to start (or end) your day, no matter where you are in the world. This just might become your favorite area on the ship.

Windows Café

The best way to see where you are in the world is not by looking at your itinerary. It’s by checking out the menu at Windows Café! Our daily themed dinner often takes its inspiration from the region we’re visiting—Indian, Mexican, Spanish, Italian. We also create an extra live station made from local ingredients purchased in port: Greek salad made with local feta (Greece), pasta prepared with local mushrooms (Italy), fresh Mussels served with garlic bread (Netherlands). Take in the fresh breeze at an outdoor table and relax in the easy and casual atmosphere of the newly renovated Windows Café. Enjoy an intimate breakfast, lunch, or dinner for two or a lively meal for six with our flexible seating options. And speaking of choices, selections change daily. Choose from fresh sushi, stir-fry and pasta, salads, smoked lox and other cold fish, a carving station and of course, desserts.

Room Service

The best time for room service? Whenever you say it is, 24-hours a day.

Order from the full breakfast menu between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM, and we’ll deliver at your appointed time. Lunch and dinner room service features a menu of hearty soups, fresh salads, gourmet sandwiches, pizzas and desserts.

Mosaic @ Night

Our onboard coffee corner may very well become your favorite nook on the ship. And with elegant and comfortable furniture, it's bound to be one of the the most stylish places, too. You'll find all your favorite coffee drinks and you can order them just the way you like. We recommend that you slip right into a comfortable seat and sip for a while—you never know who'll walk by.

Discoveries Lounge

Located just outside Azamara’s main restaurant, this congenial bar is a favorite gathering place for pre- and post-dinner conversation and drinks. Bar service includes a full selection of fine wines, mixed drinks, and premium spirits…plus the entertaining banter of Azamara’s friendly bartenders.

The Living Room

The idea of the Living Room is just that. To “live in” and to enjoy time with friends and fellow guests! Much of the room is furnished as a living room, with clusters of large comfortable chairs and sofas....

CARD ROOM

On the starboard side of the Living Room, guests will find the Card Room for those who love a round of Bridge or other games.

IN TOUCH

Inside the Card Room guests will have four computers available for use during the voyage.

Cabaret Lounge

Enjoy live performances of professional full-stage musical revues, classical soloists, bands and other entertainment in a cabaret nightclub with a full bar and cozy tables. You could see as many as three distinctly different shows while onboard. And considering the cost of theater and entertainment tickets back home, isn’t that nice?

The Azamara Quest Singers and Dancers will feature three shows that will make your memories flow.

Come Sail Away

Our Azamara Signature Singers & Dancers come together to take you on a journey around the globe, through music and dance. Enjoy the lush Latin beats, tantalizing tribal drums, and astounding Italian arias, all from your seat in the Cabaret Lounge. Come, join us on this exciting adventure that’s certain to inspire all music lovers with a sprinkling of wanderlust.

Jump, Jive, and Swing

At Azamara, we know that it don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing, so get ready to journey back with us to the swinging dance socials and sock hops of yesteryear. We’re striking up the band and invite you to jump out of your seat and get to the beat for a lindy hop, jitterbug, or charleston.

Just Dance

Azamara proudly presents Just Dance, a celebration of the world’s most iconic dance hits. Waltz, quickstep, tango—you name it, we’re going to dance it. This high-energy show is sure to find yourself tapping your toes in no time, as we move and groove to this smattering of different dance styles and tear up the dance floor, with hits like OPen Arms, Last Dance, Great Balls of Fire, Dancing Queen, and more.

The Den

The Den features a flat-screen TV and full bar, making it the perfect place to unwind with friends, watch sports events or simply sit around the tall tables and exchange stories with fellow guests. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail while our cocktail pianist every evening tickles the ivories and entertain you with soothing background music. The energy usually picks up later in the evening, so stick around and enjoy a fun night with your travel companions.

The Drawing Room

This library is one of the quiet jewels of Azamara, a peaceful and beautifully appointed space for reading or relaxing after dinner. Browse the collection and feel free to borrow the library books. Or simply relax in the tranquil atmosphere. But our library goes beyond just paper, we have interactive digital tabletops so you can make your own postcards and post to social media to share your adventures with the folks back home. The library is also home to our impressive Inspiration Center—a digital way to explore the world with Azamara and gain inspiration for your next voyage.

The Drawing Room turns into a gorgeous dining room on the evening of the elegant Best of the Best dinner for Owner’s Suite guests.

Onboard Fun

A little friendly competition is healthy. Unwind with our stellar selection of onboard activities aimed at stoking your inner competitor. Go head-to-head with friends and other ship guests with a collection of tournaments that include darts, ping pong, soft archery, shuffle board and more. Test your pop culture knowledge at trivia, your luck at bingo, or hone your creativity with arts & crafts. From line dancing classes to Q&A sessions—and everything in between—the greatest fun happens to be at sea.

Guest Entertainment

Imagine an authentic slice of the Big Apple on board your boutique hotel at sea. The Cabaret Lounge features amazing entertainers in an intimate, engaging atmosphere. It all makes for one inspiring Broadway experience. But it doesn’t stop there. Add in a few magic tricks, a little bit of comedy and unique instrumentalists, and you have something to delight everyone.

Live Music

What better than live music before – or after – dinner. From our cocktail pianist in The Den (Spirits Bar on Azamara Journey), to our Quartet in the Living Room, there is music for every taste. Our five-piece band will entertain you prior to show time every night. Throughout the evening you can enjoy a myriad of music genres, even on request. Then, of course, late night in the Living Room is when the DJ features great dance music and the occasional karaoke night. ABBA night is our biggest party night where you can channel your inner dancing queen (or king). Not to be missed whether you are an ABBA fan, or not.

Bright Night

During our return to service, our White Night event has been modified to comply with current health protocols and will be temporarily known as Bright Night. Our signature event is now a ship-wide affair, with entertainment found in two to three venues, depending on ship capacity. The entertainment is fun and lively, and delicious light bites will be served. We encourage you to join us for Bright Night, and look forward to hosting White Nights in the future when health protocols allow.

Local Entertainment

Most of us travel to experience local culture and entertainment. When possible, we bring a piece of the destination onboard with local dance troupes, musicians and singers. Through their performances you get a glimpse of the sights, sounds and moves of the destinations without leaving the ship.

AzAmazing Evenings

Local life really comes alive after dark, and we’ve crafted immersive experiences that help you discover the genuine spirit of your destination. Be dazzled by stunning performances under the twinkling lights of La Croisette in Cannes. Soak in the opulence of a symphony performance in St. Petersburg. Or, be mesmerized by an evening of traditional dance along the Saigon River in Vietnam. For sailings until April 2022, enjoy our re-imagined onboard Destination Celebration event. Enjoy the chance to experience the culture and heritage of your destination without having to step away from the comfort of your boutique hotel at sea.

Sun Deck

This deck is available for guests enjoying the sun and views from high up. It is also a beautiful vantage point for sunsets (or sunrises), and a quiet stroll at night. For those who love shuffle board, this is the place to go.

The Pool

While spending daytime sun-drenched and relaxed by the pool, don’t think of missing Azamara’s famous White Night party held at least once on every cruise (weather permitting). Colorful décor and linen-draped tables, a fabulous buffet feast, and boutique wines on the house make this an event like no other. Not to forget the fun and fast-paced show our entertainment team puts on.

Pool Bar

Our Pool Bar serves refreshments while enjoying the Pool during the day, and cocktails of your choice in the evening.

Sunset Bar

Adjacent to Windows Café, the Sunset Bar is a welcoming outdoor patio with covered and open-air seating, and a bar. It’s the perfect place for dining alfresco, enjoying a refreshing drink, taking in the sights of your favorite port, or simply watching the world sail by.

Photo Shop

Our photographers capture both fun and professional photos throughout the voyage, whether it is your portrait, or photos of the destinations you visit. You can also find an assortment of supplies for your own photographic endeavors.
